Out with the old, in with the new

February 14, 2019

We have now added Dortmunder Vier, a light lager brought all the way from Dortmund Germany. It was first brewed in 1873 and has been loved by all ever since.

Appleshed is our new cider on tap, a smooth, refreshing medium dry cider and for those with a sweeter tooth try Appleshed Dark Fruits, a blend of blackberry, raspberry and strawberry giving you the feeling of summer all year round.

Yesterday  we started the process of taking first 15 boats out of the River so hurry on down to The Anchor Inn and dont miss out on the chance to hire one of our boats before the season ends.

January 15, 2019

With the arrival of the beautiful weather why not come camp for the night.

At £10 per person to sleep under the stars and so close to the river it is definitely worth it.

Over winter

February 14, 2019

During our less busy months, this past winter our riverside decking was transformed into a riverside terrace with paved Indian sandstone and an Elm bar top overlooking the river.

Our kitchen also undertook a complete transformation with high of the end equipment added to ensure every meal is delivered quick and to a high standard.

Local Wildlife

March 15, 2019

The local wildlife is thriving round the Anchor Inn and is well worth a countryside walk or boat ride down the River Ouse to to view all of the calfs, sheep, Cygnets and Greylag Goslings.

To avoid the animals getting stressed and preventing them from harm please ensure dogs are kept on a lead when walking through the fields.
